Name:
Dr. Nathaniel Roseboom
race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 51
Home: Doesn't consider having one, but
born in Georgia
Rank:
Lieutenant
Appearance
and Attitude:
This may be modified a bit from my initial entry (the story has changed
him a bit) but he's a medium-height, slightly overweight man with salt
and pepper hair and gruff disposition. He does not make friends easily,
and seems to regard other people as intrusions into his concentration.
Despite this, he actually cares deeply for people, but has a hard time
expressing this to others.
Biography:
Although his background is in his personnel log for anyone to look up,
he's quite secretive about this in personal encounters. He graduated
from Mars University in Trauma Surgery, with additional studies in
Endocrinology, Vascular surgery, burn and radiation surgery,
nanomedicine, as well as studies in gastrointestinal and alien anatomy.
Graduated third in his class.
Spent the next thirty years or so traveling extensively about known
space, serving as medical officer on everything from ships, starbases,
colonies and even mining camps. It was during this traveling about that
he met the love of his life, who bore him a daughter before she herself
was killed in an accident.
His daughter lived to be 22 before dying herself under mysterious
circumstances just a few years ago. Ever since then, Roseboom has been
kicking around the fringes of the Federation, unsure what to do with his
skills and experience. He signed onto the Columbia for reasons known
only to himself, although these should become clear over time.
