First Mission:

The U.S.S. Columbia was commissioned on Star date 59657.4 and assigned to Task Force 38.

Upon completion of her construction and commissioning, she left space Dock under the Command of Dereck A. Walker. While exiting Space Dock the USS Columbia was suddenly shaken by a series of explosions: the result of Sabotage. For the next five hours she was immobilized while the crew worked feverishly to restore the damaged systems and get under way. The perpetrator having left the Ship in a stolen Runabout just before the explosions and escaped, but not for long. After restoring Warp power, the USS Columbia set course for the last known position of the Runabout. Arriving three hours latter, the ship went to Red Alert and scanned the area. Only to find the Runabout destroyed and their query vanished. The Sensors, a few seconds later, picked up a faint warp trail but were hesitant to follow it. Suddenly two Klingon Birds of Prey decloaked and offering their assistance followed the existing warp trail thinking too that it led to a trap. The USS Sheridon was also on her way to give its assistance and would arrive in 20 minutes. In the mean time the plans of Kale Enon, the saboteur, were discovered and his hide out disclosed. Once again the Columbia went to warp.... ________________________________________________________________________________________

Another attack ensued an hour later involving the USS Columbia and the Sheridon against seven assorted Romulan warships. Defeating these but sustaining damage to its navigational dish, the Columbia again paused for repairs. The  Klingon by that time notified the Columbia they had found nothing and were proceeding as fast as possible toward the the ship. Once repaired the Columbia took a indirect course toward their destination, New Talax, in order to allow the Klingons to catch up. Thirty minutes later several Cloaked  vessels. At least twelve Romulan ships were bearing down on them with only the Sheridon as reinforcements. Fortunately these ships had found out about the Federation starships headed to New Talax and dismantled their base and Terrorist faction. After a bloody battle in which captain walker was severally hurt and First Officer Whitehurst were killed, it ended with the destruction of most of the Romulan ships and beat up of the federation. Kale Enon was assassinated and the faction broken apart.

Mission Two:

After being towed to the nearest star base for repairs - Star base 900, The USS Columbia was immediately scheduled for repair. Upon her arrival the crew was given shore leave and the dead and wounded transferred to the base. The projected time for hull repairs were four days. On the second day in space dock Star Base 900 received a distress signal from Outpost 576, being the only ship in the area capable of handling the situation, she was assigned the emergency rescue mission and put on full alert. Upon a hasty "recrewing" she departed the station and proceeded at full warp for the Epsilon System. Seven Hours later the Columbia reached the Star Cluster
